Someone like to draw, other like to sing, listen ,read,write,..... for me when I was young I prefered to listen and work alone, that made me think why some students have difficulty in acquiring learning, so I always vary my techniques by using all the the different kinds of activies so I meet the individual differences and children interest.
to make the students transfer that for me i ask them at the end of each unit to carry out a project that is suitable to their abilities and i give them a constructive feed back for example gifts , colorful stickers, comments

That's it Maisa our kids need a teacher who knows their needs, abilities, interests and most of all the individual differences amongst them.
ReplyDeleteEach student has its own preffered way of learning. One likes to draw, another likes to act, another likes to sing ...etc so it's better for the teacher to vary his activities to involve them all.
Giving constructive feedback is also very important to encourage our students to go on...
You are a great teacher ,Maisa .What you're applying in the classroom is called Multiple Intelligences .
ReplyDeleteThe theory of Multiple Intelligences was developed by Dr.Gardner in 1983 .Here are the eight different intelligencies :
1. Verbal / Linguistic :
It means to explain something using words .
2. Visual / Spatial :
It means to explain a point using maps ,
pictures , graphs ...
3. Body / Kinesthetic :
It means to use your body to express an idea .
For example the teacher can act out any
dialogue or sentence .
4.Interpersonal :
It means to work with others to accomplish a
task .
5. logical / Mathematical
It means to use logic and mathematical models
to present ideas .
6. Musical :
It means that some students tend to learn
while singing .
7. Intrapersonal :
Some learners tend to learn on their own using
self-knowledge to understand .
8. Environmental :
Here students like to learn from the world
around them .It's similar to visual skills .
As we noticed , each student has his own way of thinking .That's why teachers have to be aware of this fact and use different ways and techniques to convey their message in the classroom .
But , don't you think teachers can face some difficulties applying this theory in the classroom ? For example , the lack of facilities , the large numbers of students , classroom management , time ...
Creating a mulitsensory class room is something that reflects the vitality of language. However, bringing up a self autonomy- learner is more vital and more noble!
