A Letter From the President of New River Community and Technical College

December 16, 2011

Dear Academy Participants,
On behalf of all of us at New River Community and Technical College, I want to welcome you to this academy dedicated to exploring different philosophies of teaching and learning. You are to be commended for your dedication to your profession.  Through collaborative efforts such as this academy, we can broaden our understanding of how to instill a passion for learning in students across all age groups, regardless of national boundaries, customs and traditions.   Thank you for being part of this exciting inaugural program.  I hope it will be the first of many such endeavors in the future.

    I am very much grateful I am a member of the teaching and learning academy as I am sure it's a very rich experience which will affect my profession.

    I believe that the benefits of this program will be shared by all of us. It has been an honor just to get to observe on this blog, so far. Also, when our teachers return from Jordan, they will have more knowledge to share with their students at our college.

    Dear Mr. President,
    Let me first thank you for supporting the idea of the Academy for I know if it weren't for the support of great minds like you and the hard work of a dedicated man like Mr. Morsches, the dream would never have turned into reality. You are right, the Academy is an exceptional chance for all of us to explore new ideas and enhance the ones we already practice. I really appreciate your care about students all over the world! They are lucky at New River to have you as a President, we are lucky too to get the chance to be part of this innovative Academy led by your school.
    We will do our best to spread the ideas and practices that we have already started exploring, and I do pray from the bottom of my heart that this Academy will be the first of many here in Jordan and maybe all around the world.
